Texas Locavore

It’s a “fundraiser without the fundraiser feel,” according to the press release for this event, scheduled to take place Thursday from 6:30 to 9 pm in Dallas’s Fair Park. (Click the image at left for full details.) Local farmers, chefs, and vintners will offer up samplings for attendees, who can also expect to enjoy live music. The objective here is to raise money for the Dallas Farmers Market, which has been in operation since the 1860’s. It sounds like a great opportunity for folks who live in Dallas to get to know a bunch of new local edibles, all in one place.
