NYT Magazine: The Food Issue

If you accomplish nothing else on this lovely Sunday, get yourself a copy of today’s New York Times. [Of course, you can also read it online.] It may not be the most Texan of publications, but reading this issue is a very locavore thing to do: Today’s New York Times Magazine is all about food. Better yet, much of it is indirectly and directly about eating local. Bylines include farm-to-table hero Michael Pollan and multimedia foodie Mark Bittman. The hotness that is William Safire even delves into the term “locavore.” And while Texas doesn’t take center stage in the issue, a feature about the catfish industry is something every Texan foodie should read. Clear my calendar: I’ll be reading the paper all day.

[Note that the publishers have produced multiple covers: My copy of the magazine above pictures an exploding apple on its cover.]
