Texas Locavore

What’s better than eating food grown and produced in Texas?  Doing it without even leaving the house.  Greenling Organic Delivery, a company started in Austin in 2005, now delivers a “Local Box.”  That is, you sign up, pay $34.99, and have a box of whatever produce is fresh and local delivered to your door.  Greenling’s buyer works with a whole host of local farmers to acquire the tastiest, freshest, most responsibly grown goods around to fill up these boxes, and it shows.  (That’s the booty from just one week’s box in the picture.)  Get the details over at my new blog, Eating Outside of the (Local) Box.  To sign up for your own Local Box delivery, go to Greenling and enter your zip code, then click “View Starter Baskets” on the left side of the screen.  Greenling delivers to Austin and San Antonio — and hopefully statewide someday!
